COPPERBELT HOLD COLOURFUL SPECIAL EDUCATION EXHIBITION

The Ministry of Education on the Copperbelt held their annual provincial exhibition for learners with disabilities.

The exhibition held by the Special Education Association of Zambia (SEAZ) was held at Mpelembe Secondary School in Luanshya from the 6th - 7th June 2024.

The provincial exhibition was held under the theme: Innovation and Creativity: “A transformative solution for a child with special educational needs and disability.” 

The participants were drawn from all the Special Education Schools and units in all the districts on the Copperbelt.

The exhibition is held every year during the second term of the School Calander. 

Copperbelt Province Special Education Association of Zambia President, William Zimba, said the exhibition is aimed at demonstrating to the public that learners with disabilities are as talented and skilled in so many areas as other regular learners. 

Mr. Zimba said the exhibition is organised on the Copperbelt Province by the provincial executive committee working together with Education Standards Officers in-charge of Special Education and the Senior Education Standards Officer in all the districts.

Some of the exhibits on display were food and nutrition in creative arts learners from Ndola Lions School for the blinds mesmerized people with their poetry. #meducommunication #freeeducationforAll
